Don

Don Menzies: Don grew up on sheep, cattle and cropping enterprise in Central West NSW and completed Agricultural Science tertiary studies at the University of New England.  The early part of his career involved positions within research projects focusing on data collection, information technology transfer and extension.  From 2003 to 2008, he worked full time for a global software company supplying IT solutions to the northern Australian beef industry.  In mid-2008, he established and became one of two directors of Outcross Performance Pty Ltd and continued his involvement in Outcross until July 2012, at which point his client base was transferred to URM.

Don is married with two young boys both at primary school. As well as starting URM in 2012, Don also returned to university part-time studying a graduate diploma in IT. So his time is split between juggling family time with work and study commitments.

Anne Conway: Anne is known as the “number cruncher” within the business, however she prefers to think of herself as someone who transforms ordinary data from an ugly duckling to a beautiful swan.  Most of Anne’s work to date has been on the Cash Cow Project, however she also handles data for other clients.

Anne grew up in sheep country at Blackall. After boarding school in Ipswich and University in Armidale, she spent her working life in western and central Queensland with a varied career in government, banking and stock and station agency. Anne now lives near Jambin in central Queensland with her husband and two sons who are all Star Wars aficionados. Her major goals in life are to never move house again, and to ride in a Tom Quilty Endurance ride.

Laura Comiskey: Her family are from Wee Waa NSW but Laura grew up in North QLD until her family moved to Tamworth. Laura completed a B.Agribusiness at University of New England. From there she enjoyed a short career in banking until she moved to Alpha and joined the Cash Cow data collection team in 2009! Laura currently lives on Portwine Station at Alpha with her husband Jason together with his family.  They run Santa Gertrudis cattle and a livestock transport operation.
